Here's How Eating the
Right Amount of Protein Leads to Greater Fat
Loss...
Daily protein intake
will limit the breakdown of proteins in your muscles used
for energy when you cut down on calories. Your protein
intake does not need to be as high as your energy intake
(carbohydrates), but with an
increase of anaerobic exercise (weight training), you need
to increase your daily protein intake. Remember that
muscles need protein for growth and conditioning which
leads to a faster metabolism, which leads to burning
stored fat.
Not all proteins are
alike, and if you do not supply your body with the right
types of protein, your body will still feed on your muscles
for energy. Proteins are made up of amino acids, and
there are nine types of amino acids that your body does
not naturally produce; therefore you must get them from
certain foods. These types of amino acids are called
essential amino acids, and the protein that your body
naturally produces is called non essential amino acids.
You need to
understand why the right quality of protein should be
consumed and how often you should consume it. That is
why when you are looking for a protein drink or protein
powder, you will hear so much talk about the quality of
protein. The absolute best quality protein replacement
drink out there is whey protein, but quality protein from
the right types of food should always be your first choice
over a protein replacement product.
The foods
with the highest quality of protein are foods with
complete protein - protein that contains both essential and
non essential amino acids. Please understand
that your muscles will not be properly conditioned without
the presence of both essential and non essential amino
acids. In other words, just because you eat something
with protein does not mean that you are getting all the
protein you need unless you eat foods that are complete with
both types of amino acids.

complete proteins and how often you should consume
